Police Sergeant hospitalised after shooting himself [July 01 2014]

A Sergeant attached to the Kurunegala Police station was hospitalised in a critical condition after he shot himself in the head this morning, the police said.

The victim a resident of Wellawa had shot himself inside the toilette. The motive behind the act is yet to be ascertained.
