At least three persons including an elderly woman died and three others sustained serious injuries when a van collided head on with a boom truck in Naranwala on Kaduwela – Belummahara main road today, the police said.
Five persons travelling in the van along with the driver of the boom truck had been admitted to Gampaha, Udupila and Biyagama hospitals.
The casualties had been identified as Mahinda Lakshman Palihakkara (56), Mahinda Herath Medagoda (48) and D M S Dissanayake (75).
