A brothel house that had been carried out in the guise of a private lodge was raided by the Organised Crime Detection Unit of Maradana Police in Sangaraja Mawatha yesterday, the police said.
The police arrested five females who had allegedly engaged in prostitution, a caretaker and two associates. The female suspects were reportedly from Passara, Maradana, Nuwara Eliya, Moneragala and Ambalangoda areas.
They will be produced before Maligakanda Magistrate today, the police said.
