Two children who went to bathe in Vettikulam Tank in Silavathura area last evening drowned, the police said.
The victims had been identified as Pushpa Kumari Inoka (13) and eight year old Jegan Roshan Fernando of Arippu West area.
The bodies are presently lying at Mannar Hospital Morgue, the police said.
