At least one person was killed and 57 other passengers sustained serious injuries when a CTB bus bound for Kandy from Wekanda plunged into a roadside precipice in Rambukwella this afternoon, the police said.
The driver who had failed to control the bus whilst taking a narrow bend had fallen into the precipice about 150 foot deep.
The casualties including the driver had been admitted to Theldeniya Hospital.
