The atmospheric low pressure condition that prevailed for the past few days in the vicinity of the country is moving northwards and away, the Meteorological Department announced today.
Though the possibility of rain is low, strong winds can be expected during next few days in certain parts of the country.
According to the Department's forecast, showers could be expected in Northern, North-central, North-western, Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in the Galle district.
Uva and Eastern provinces are likely to experience thundershowers in the next 48 hours.
