PM to attend the third SADC in Singapore [July 10 2016]

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will participate in the third South Asian Diaspora Convention-2016 (SADC) in Singapore organised by the Institute of South Asian Studies to be held at the Raffles City Convention Centre, Singapore from July18 -19.

Premier Wickremesinghe will be the Guest-Of-Honour at the event and will deliver the Keynote Address at its inaugural session. Foreign Affairs Minister Mangala Samaraweera will speak on the first day of the conference on "Geopolitics of South Asia". The former Chief Justice of Sri Lanka, Dr. Shirani Bandaranayake will address the plenary session on "Law and Business in South Asia" on the second day of the convention.

SADC 2016 will address critical questions relating to geo-economic and geo-political challenges affecting South Asia and the world and is expected to bring together 1,000

distinguished guests including the Singaporean Prime Minister and more than 50 of the region's leading policymakers, business leaders, academics and civil society leaders.
