Lankan software companies at CeBIT 2002 Sri Lanka will present its software skills for the first time CeBIT 2002, a global exhibition featuring an extensive display of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) products and services. CeBIT held at Hannover, Germany is known to be an effective buyers-seller meeting place for the IT industry. It is a target and significant trade show for information and telecommunications technology. It provides a complete overview of the global ITC market and a potential for sales. The exhibition is an annual event and attracts over 800,000 visitors every year. The 'Sri Lanka' pavilion will be represented by leading IT and ICT companies in the country, which are not only of international standard, but have successfully catered and are catering to the international market. These companies are WaveNET Pvt Ltd., creator of OmniBIS, LankaOn-Line Pvt Ltd., ExcelSoft Pvt Ltd., LogicalTech Corporation Pvt Ltd., Softech Pvt Ltd., eCommerce Technologies, hSenid Software International Pvt. Ltd, Ubizport Pvt Ltd., Evosoft Eco Interactive and Prudential Technologies Pte Ltd. "From the land of the eighth, wonder we bring you software par excellence" will be the Sri Lankan slogan at the event. The software Exporters Association and the Sri Lanka Tourist Board have designed this 'theme' for the pavilion. This would be a key opportunity to target European tourists and business. The Sri Lanka Export Development Board in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Embassy in Germany (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and the Software Exporters Association have organised the 'Sri Lanka' pavilion at CeBIT 2002 being held in Germany from March 13 to 20. |
