Appointed ETF Chairman Mr. Dinesh Weerakkody has been appointed as the Chairman, of the Employees Trust Fund (ETF) Board. He is a graduate in Business Administration and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Leicester, England and a BTEC from HCHE UK. Mr. Weerakkody has presented many papers at national and international seminars and has articles and papers, which have been published in journals and books. He is also an author of three books and has pioneered the 'Business Today Top 10' award scheme. He was selected as an 'Outstanding Young Person' in 1999 by the Jaycees, has been included in the edition. Who will be who in the 21st century by the International Biographical Centre in England, awarded a Twentieth Century Achievement Award by IBC, USA and an International Man of the Year Award for researched contributions in relation to international politics in LDCs. Weerakkody is an economic commentator and writes to several news papers as well as the Business Today magazine. He has been with Earnest and Young, an Assistant General Manager at The Finance and Ceylinco Insurance, Manager Resource Development at Pan Asia Bank and Co-ordinating Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Presently, he is the Human Resources Director of multinational Glaxo SmithKline. |
