BCC Chairman Mr. Milinda W. Gunawardane has been appointed as the Chairman of BCC Lanka. Mr. Gunawardane joined the Sri Lanka Army as a Commissioned Officer in 1973 where he served for six years before joining the private sector in 1979. He served the agriculture division of Brown and Company as Sales Manager for five years before being appointed General Manger of Heavy-Quip, an organisation affiliated to Colombo Commercial Engineering. Gunawardane set up his own company in 1993, which was the local agent for several heavy duty vehicle manufacturers in the UK and US. He is a graduate in business management. |
