Sri Lanka 'pool' for Hong Kong sevens

A 19-member pool has been picked from which the final team will be selected to represent Sri Lanka at the Hong Kong International Rugby 7's to be worked off on March 22, 23 and 24.

They comprise Radhika Hettiarachchi, H. Karunaratne, D. Wijesekera, N. Jayasuriya, M. C. Fernando, J. C. B. Vithanage, C. Jayasinghe, Leonard de Zilwa, Asanga Rodrigo, Indrajith Bandaranayake, C. Thushara, Nalaka Weerakkody, Sanjeewa Jayasinghe, Kishan Musafer, L. Perera, W. Jayatilleke, R. Ranasinghe, Savantha de Saram and Pradeep Basnayake.

Sajith Mallikaratchi and R. N. Ruwantilleke are on the injured list and were not considered for selection.

The 19 players are to report to coach Asanga Seneviratne tomorrow (Monday) at Longden Place at 4.30 p.m. for practices. (L.G)
