Certified
professional marketers body launched
The Association of Certified Professional Marketers (ACPM) was formally launched in Colombo recently by the President-elect of the World Marketing Association Hermawan Kartajaya. He was accompanied by the President-elect of the Asia Pacific Marketing Federation, Dr. Cheong Kun Pui. This was followed by the launching of the ACPM website. The Certified Professional Marketer-Asia Pacific is said to be the only post-graduate level professional status in the world conferred by a regional federation, after completion of qualifying examinations and recognising one's senior level experience in marketing management. Although initiated by a group of Sri Lankan status holders, the ACPM was launched as a global association designed to unite CPM status holders around the world under one umbrella. Hermawan Kartajaya is the patron of the ACPM while Dr. Cheong Kun Pui, Professor Mitch A. Tamaki, Professor of Marketing, Shizukoa Sangyo University (Japan) and Bruce Hoggard, President and CEO Hoggard International and President of Canadian Marketing Institute are the Vice Patrons. The Board of Management consists of: Nalin Attygalle (Honorary President), Ajit F. Perera (President), Sam Stembo (Vice President), Wasantha Mallikarachchi (Secretary), Shaminda Dissanayake (Assistant Secretary), Nazeer Latiff (Treasurer) and Dr. Leonardo R. Garcia Jnr., Nishan Navaratne, M. Taufik, Anne Thevarajan, Suresh Keerthi and Sanath Wijetunga. |
