Imran Khan, the popular Pakistani speedster and skipper was also involved in the building of a cancer hospital in Pakistan. In fact he dedicated the 1992 World Cup win to building this hospital because his mother was suffering from cancer at the time. Also associated with this worthy project was former opening batsman Roshan Mahanama, the secretary of the Cricketers Association. All contributions towards this hospital can be deposited at any Seylan Bank branch and have to be made in the name of the HOPE Cancer Hospital and this will be exempted from income tax. |
