Matale Old Thomians Association, Colombo Branch has made arrangements to conduct the popular Charles Robinson Memorial All-Island Inter-club seven-a-side hockey tournament for the sixth consecutive year. The tournament has been fixed for May 12 at Police Park, Bambalapitiya.

According to tournament secretary, Tissa Etipola, entries will close on March 29 and the draw will take place on April 8 at the Malay Club Committee Room, Colombo 2.

Leading twenty teams from all parts of the hockey playing districts, Colombo, Kandy, Matale, Badulla, Wennappuwa and Galle are invited to participate.

In addition this year will be a team from Jaffna District. All four services teams who have been participating from the inception have expressed their willingness to compete in this year's tournament too.

Attractive cash awards and valuable trophies will be presented to the first four teams. The Most Outstanding Hockey Player 2002 will also be selected by a panel of past Sri Lanka players and a special award will be presented.
