SLIM plans online courses

The Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) in collaboration with Evolution Software (Pvt.) Limited, is planning to introduce distance learning courses and e-seminars via the Internet to its members around the world.

The technology partner's 'ApexStudy' supports video conferencing using the standard telephone connection.

'ApexStudy' proved a success, when conducted at SLIM head office transmitting online. A projector was facilitated in Kandy and the participants in Kandy interacted with the lecturer in Colombo.

SLIM intends to carry out e-seminars, projecting at various centres such as Kandy, Kurunegala, Sabaragamuwa and Jaffna. With the proliferation of such a technology, standard courses would be conducted online for the convenience of students.
