Anton Bala back in London

LTTE ideologue and chief negotiator Anton Balasingham has said that his sudden return last week to London from Vanni was entirely due to his medical treatment and nothing else.

Balasingham was speaking to a group of presspersons in London on Friday, elaborating on his return from Sri Lanka.

He is further reported to have said that once the dates and the agenda was finalised for the talks in Thailand, he would return to Vanni and then travel to Thailand.

Explaining his illness Balasingham said that he was suffering from a kidney ailment and it was due to lack of proper medical care that he had to get back to London. (AP)
