Foreign holding limit increased

The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) has increased the foreign holding limit for several companies to 100 per cent as announced in the Budget 2002, and according to instructions from the Controller of Exchange.

The companies are: Asian Alliance Insurance Co. Ltd., Ceylinco Insurance Co. Ltd., Ceylinco Housing and Real Estate Co. Ltd, Commercial Bank of Ceylon Ltd (Voting), Commercial Bank of Ceylon Ltd. (Non-Voting), Eagle Insurance Co. Ltd., Hatton National Bank Ltd. (Voting), Hatton National Bank Ltd (Non-Voting), Kelsey Developments Ltd., Lakdhanavi Ltd., LB Finance Ltd., Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka Ltd., Nations Trust Bank Ltd., People's Merchant Bank Ltd., Sampath Bank Ltd., Seylan Bank Ltd., Seylan Merchant Bank Ltd. and Union Assurance Ltd.
