Chitral the vocalist with an amazing sustaining metal power has been very busy with the rock group Avalon touring Europe after the release of the Eurasia album which he says was 'a great success among progressive/power metal freaks.' The album received 9 to 10 points in all metal fanzines in many countries. Avalon toured for almost five weeks without a break playing 29 shows starting off from Germany/Italy/Spain/Portugal/ France/Hungary/Czech Republic/Switzerland and Austria. After this successful yet exhausting tour, Chitral reveals that he was contacted by a US based band Wintersbane (whose singer took the place of Rob Halford of Judas Priest) for a studio recording session of vocals for The Silhouette. 'What is elastic and appreciative is that all members of Avalon are allowed to work on other projects - the freedom to create music as a soloist, record studio sessions with other musicians thereby helping you to develop your creativity,' says Chitral. It doesn't end here for Chitral. He is the singer for a band called Seven who do cover songs from Queen/Sweet/Bon Jovi/Van Halen repertoire. After some shows with Seven, believe it or not Chitral got an invitation to take part in a rock/dance musical called WASH! 'It was such a great experience acting and singing at the same time and it was really successful' concludes Chitral Somapala. Visit him at http://www.somapala.de |
