Interesting clash expected when Kandy takes on Police by S. M. JIFFREY ABDEEN, Kandy Sports Correspondent Table leaders Kandy Sports Club will go fly out to add to their string of victories when they take on Police in a second-round Caltex 'A' division rugby tournament match at Nittawela today. Last Sunday, both Kandy and Police recorded wins in the tournament against CH and FC and CR and FC. However, Kandy Sports Club scored a runaway win over CH and FC by 51 points to 5 on that occasion to show that they have a strong combination to lift the trophy this year as well. Kandy forwards gave a fine display of attacking play and outplayed the CH forwards. The Kandy three-quarters also impressed with their attacking play. Though Police had a close shave against the CR, the Police did well to beat the Longden Place club by 14 points to 13. Here too, the forwards gave the Police the leading edge over the CR. All in all an interesting game is on cards, for the rugby fans up in the hills.
