Royal beat Dharmaraja 17/nil

by Kandy Sports Correspondent

Royal College came up with a fine display to score a good 17 points (1 goals, 2 tries) to nil win over Dharmaraja College in their Milo President's Cup pre-quarter final knock out rugby tournament match played at Nittawela on Friday. At half time the Royalists led 12-0.

Royal completely dominated the game though the wet weather conditions made ball handling difficult. This was Royal's third victory in Kandy this season having earlier beaten St. Anthony's College and Trinity College by comfortable margins.

Royal scored their tries through winger Ahvez Rasheed Ali (2) and full back Chamath Danawansa who also goalled one of the tries.

The other match between St. Sylvesters College and Ananda College which was down to be played on Friday was not played due to unavailability of grounds.
