Inter-schools waterpolo tourney on Sept 22 The 12th All-Island inter-school waterpolo tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Aquatic Sports Association will be held on September 22 at the Sugathadasa Stadium swimming pool commencing at 8.00 a.m. According to Mrs. Ranjani de Fonseka, the Secretary SLSASA the tournament will be conducted for boys and girls in two age categories under-15 and under-20. A school could enter two teams per age group. The teams will be seeded by a draw on the day of the tournament at 7.45 a.m. All matches will be played on a knock-out basis. The finals will be worked off from 3.00 p.m. Last year Royal College and Visakha Vidyalaya became boys and girls under-20 champions respectively while S. Thomas' College Mt. Lavinia and Ladies College emerged boys and girls under-15 champions. Entries close with the Secretary, SLSASA, Mrs. Ranjani de Fonseka, Bishop's College, Colombo 3 on September 17. (L.F.) |
