CBK studies note against Police chief by Sarath Malalasekera President's Media Consultant Janadasa Peiris yesterday said that President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga is studying the intimation forwarded to her by the Constitutional Council in respect of Acting IGP T. E. Anandarajah. The President will send her observations to the Constitutional Council shortly. The President recommended Senior DIG T.E. Anandarajah's name to the Constitutional Council to appoint him as the new Inspector General of Police. Earlier Interior Ministry Secretary M. N. Junaid informed Secretary to President K. Balapatabendi, that Senior DIG T. E. Anandarajah has been appointed as the Acting Inspector General of Police following the death of IGP Lucky Kodituwakku. |
