'Stars of 70s'
at Negombo

The cream of artistes who belonged to the leading groups of the 70s will come together for 'Stars of 70s' organised by Maris Stella College, Sports Association. The show a presentation of Annesley Malawana will go on boards on Saturday, October 5 at the Maris Stella College Auditorium, Negombo. This is the second year the Sports Association of the College is staging the show after their first event which was a success for them. The Association is raising funds to develop the much needed sports activity of the College and also to construct a sports room for the students.

The singers featured at the 'Stars of 70s' show include Annesley Malawana (Moonstones), Noel Ranasinghe (La Ceylonians), Indrani Perera (Three Sisters), Anil Bhareti, Dharmaratne Brothers, Joe B. Perera (Meemasso), Errol and Maria Fernando (Los Cabelleros), Priya Pieris (La Bambas), Merril Fernando (Amigos Romanticas), Sunil Perera (Gypsies), Sri Lankans, with guest artistes Corrine and Ronnie. The band 'Simple' will provide the music for the singers. Chandana and the Dance Guild will be featured and the show compered by Vjiaya Corea.
