The talent festival
Hosted by Sue International School of Music and Dance, preliminary preparation for the event gets underway this week, with an invitation to all amateur performers - singers, musicians and dancers- to pit their showmanship acumen and have their performance judged by a panel of experts in the field. According to Sunethra Perera, owner of Sue International and organiser of the event, the competition will give amateur performers aspiring to get involved in showbiz, the opportunity to prove their talent in a big way. The competition will culminate with 'Beat Cyclone', a grand show that will give the winners of the competition an opportunity to share the stage with professional artistes. Sue International School, which has slotted the talent festival as a regular feature in its events calendar, was formed in 1998. A training institute for performing arts that include singing, dancing and music, including guitar and piano, the school has hosted many concerts and musical shows in its four years of existence. All aspiring amateurs are requested to fill in the accompanying entry form and send them to Sue International School of Music and Dance before December 15, 2002. |
