LTTE team to Geneva : Swiss federal system under study

A powerful LTTE delegation led by chief negotiator Dr. Anton Balasingham travel to Switzerland this week, to study the Swiss system of Federal government, Sunday Observer learns. In this swift follow-up on the Government-LTTE agreement in Oslo last week, the LTTE delegation will hold talks with political leaders, on the system of devolution of powers, in that country and their experience of Federalism.

At Govt. hospitals : Tug-o-war leaves patients at God's mercy

CEB blames CMC for tapping power lines

The Ceylon Electricity Board blames the Colombo Municipal Council for frequent tapping of electricity from CEB power lines, despite the power quota it has been allocated for street lighting, CEB Deputy General Manager (Colombo City), Ranjith Gunawardene, told the 'Sunday Observer'.
