Felicitation of Latha Walpola

'Rajina Mamai' a musical show will be re-staged to felicitate Kalasuri Latha Walpola on the completion of 55 years of her singing career as well as to mark her 70th birthday. Considered a national and cultural treasure Latha Walpola has been receiving many requests from her fans in Sri Lanka as well as from abroad to hold this musical program.

At a special meeting held to discuss the planning of the concert it was decided to feature promising stars of the new generation of singers too. Those participating will include Haroon Lanthra, Susil Premarathne, Victor Ratnayake, Sanath Nandasiri, Gratien Ananda, Saman de Silva, Jagath Wickramasinghe, Rookantha Gunatilleke, Chandralekha Perera, Samitha Mudunkotuwa, Nirosha, Bathiya and Santhush and more. Dance sequences will be by Channa Wijewardena, Budhawatte, Padmini and Rangana Dahanayake. Music direction will be by Sarath de Alwis.
