'Sonduru Wasanthe'
Jagath's new release

Even since he won the All Island music competition in 1990 and subsequently represented Sri Lanka at the Asian Broadcasting Union's Golden Kite World Song Festival, Jagath Wickremasinghe has moved onto the fast lane of success with his music artistry.

Now a free lance musician who has gamed wide recognition on stages in Sri Lanka as well as on foreign stages Wickremasinghe has launched his latest CD 'Sonduru Wasanthe' after a hiatus of four years. Produced by Maharaja Entertainment/Sony Music, all the tracks were recorded in his studio "Music Star" which he set up four years ago.

On the album title song Jagath Wickremasinghe is joined by Uresha Ravihari as well as on "Noorpura Sala". Other singers who perform duets with him are Dhammika Thilakaratne on 'Oba Naha' and Poornima Wickremasinghe on 'Nuwan Pura'. The CD contains sixteen originals and the lyric writers include Sarath Gunaratne, Susantha Weerasooriya, Kumara Liyanage, Jagath Gamini Mawathagama, Sampath Bandara and Praneeth Abhayasundera.
