Rauff Hakeem in Govt. delegation Rauff Hakeem, leader of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) and Minister of Ports Development and Shipping who is participating in the current session of peace talks in Thailand only as a member of the government delegation and not as a leader of a special delegation. A government statement issued yesterday stated that the official delegation to the fourth meeting of the first round of peace talks between the Government and the LTTE will be led by Prof. G. L. Peiris, Minister of Constitutional Affairs, Enterprise Development, Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion which will include Hakeem. According to the statement the talks will be a continuation of the previous meetings held in Thailand and Norway, and will discuss matters raised during these talks. The government delegation will be leaving for Thailand today. |
