Thirty six swimmers to face final trial for SAF Games by LESLIE FERNANDO Thirty six top men and women swimmers have been invited to face the final trial to pick swimmers to represent Sri Lanka at the 7th South Asian Federation Games (SAF Games) to be held from March 29 to April 7, 2003 in Islamabad, Pakistan. The trial will be conducted by the National Amateur Aquatic Sports Union (NAASU) from January 22 to 25 at the Sugathadasa Stadium swimming pool, commencing at 3.30 p.m. each day. NAASU selected the first three from the top twenty for this trial and 22 men and 14 women will be seen in action on all four days. There would be 16 events for men and 12 events for women, in addition, the swimmers will also vie in the 4x100 metres and 4x200 metres freestyle relay and the medley relay.
