Name: Suzette Claire Croner Funky outfits: Yes. I like all funky outfits and those that they call modern. As for designer clothes I don't hanker after them because, I design my own clothes. Hair do's: I love hair do's with all the crazy colour combinations as well as the extensions that are used. Fav song of '80s and '90s: From the '80s 'Night Life' by Gloria Gaynor. From the '90s 'I Can't Live Without You' by Mariah Carey. Embarrassing day: Not just one day. But many days, that I'd love to re-count but you will need a lot of space! Qualities you like in a man: In the words of the song 'A good heart is hard to find'. He should have a good heart, he should be simple and honest. And he should be understanding and be a help in the domestic work. How much of a party girl are you: Those days I was a 100% party girl. But now its limited to about 20% because of my children, husband and home. Are you the first to hit the dance floor: Yes. I love dancing. There's no reason to sit and wait when the music is good. How do you reject advances from men: As a singer you have to face such situations, but I ward them off very diplomatically by cracking a joke. Are you superstitious: In the early days I was into dreams, black cats and stuff like that. But not any more. What's your pet hate: I have no pet hates...but come to think of it, I don't like snakes...I feel eerie when I see one. Other than that I'm a friendly person. What makes you happy in life: I have a natural happy disposition. I enjoy myself. I do not sit around and wait for something to happen to make me happy. I'm happy being with my family and friends. I'm into a lot of extra curricular activities! Like, from Mondays to Fridays I'm with my children, sing for recording sessions, play tennis in the club. Fridays I'm at gospel practice and on Saturdays I'm with Freak Out. I'm happy the whole week through. How many rude thoughts do you have in a day: None. I'm a fun loving person. I accept everybody as they are and I treat all the same. What keeps you awake at night: You wouldn't believe it I watch sports on TV especially tennis and also documentaries on topcalities in the science and social world. Where would you like to be most now: Wherever my family is I would like to be there. Do you believe in love at first sight: No. I don't. Because what is important is what is inside the man, the qualities that make up the man. What other profession would you like to be in: A nurse. In my young days I had a great fascination for the white uniforms and caps and nurses going around giving injections to patients. What would you do if you ruled the world: I'll bring God and love into everyone's lives - and the rest, peace and happiness will fall into place. Your fav food and do you cook: Chinese and Swiss Fondue food. I'm a big time cook - all the Sri Lankan musicians in Europe know it too well. If you could change anything about yourself what would it be and why: My figure. I would like to lose a few kilos without the hassle of dieting and gain a slim figure! What would you have liked to have been in a past life: Be myself. A repeat performance of my singing career. Which product would you like to most endorse: Electronic equipment that is associated with a singer's career - say microphones. Fav cartoon character: Scooby Doo. Ideal holiday destination: Sri Lanka - there's no other place. Worst song: It's My Life - by Dr. Alban. I used to sing it, but I hated it. Fav rap star: TLC. If Elvis Presley were still alive what would he be doing: His singing style would be the same but his music arrangements would have changed. In fact, he has to change or otherwise he would be left behind. Fav singer: Anastacia. She's a package deal. She has the looks the voice, the style, she's great! I enjoy singing her songs like - I'm Not The Kind of Girl, Paid My Dues, I'm Out of Love, Freak of Nature and One Day in Your Life. What do you think life would be like in the year 3000: The human brain is amazing and in 3000 it will be further advanced. We will be in for more new ideas. Right now the advance in telephones and camera is something like from a fantasy world. |
