Guitar recital today

Guitarist Ulrich Steier is back at the Barefoot Gallery to give his much awaited second concert today at 7 pm. His first concert in August last year in the attractive open air setting of the Barefoot Gallery was a great success and to satisfy many a demand his recital today will be a special event not only for guitar fans but for music lovers in general. He will liven up the breaks between the individual pieces through stories about his instrument, the compositions and the composers.

Ulrich Steier has chosen for his program today well known compositions of various epochs from the manuscripts of J. Dowland, Ludwig van Beethoven, Albeniz and more including dedications and his own compositions.

Steier who at the age of three started his guitar lessons in today an acclaimed guitarist in Germany and has won international awards such as the Daagblad Tubantia/Twentsche Courant Prijs 1996 (Netherlands). He has toured extensively in Europe and has released several CDs - in solo and duo performances. Since 2001 Ulrich Steier lectures guitar at the Netherlands Conservatory of Enscheda and gives Master Classes in Europe. His next master class will be in Poland in March this year. A gifted musician his musicianship has been acknowledged as amazing and his interpretation of the soul and spirit of the music should not be missed out by music lovers.
