NEW DELHI, Saturday (AFP) UN Secretary General Kofi Annan will visit India in February at the invitation of Foreign Minister Yashwant Sinha, a report said Saturday.

Annan's New Delhi visit, scheduled for the end of February, will be the second in two years, the Hindustan Times reported.

His last visit to the region was in March 2001, when he also visited Pakistan.

After New Delhi, Annan will go to Kuala Lumpur for a summit of Non-Aligned countries, the report said.

There was no official confirmation from the Indian government on Annan's visit.
