Chitral and 'Faro' release debut album

News comes to us from Chitral 'Chity' Somapala that in the new musical project 'Faro' of which he is the lead singer, are seasoned musicians belonging to the melodic hard rock idiom. The band Faro will release their debut album 'Dawn of Forever' in June this year through MTM RECORDS world-wide!!!

That is wow! and the 'T' in MTM stands for Thomas Hassler, World and European Soccer Champion who played 101 times for the German Soccer Team is an avid collector of hard rock and melodic rock albums. We wish Chitral all success and may he gain international fame.

Chitral who now lives in Germany is well-known in the Hard Rock/Metal scene and is the vocalist in the German Power/Progressive Outfit Avalon. Here in Sri Lanka we cannot forget his 'Lion in You' jingle sung in English and Sinhala and also 'Greenlands' which was written/performed by him and co-written by guitarist/keyboardist Frank Rohles of Faro for the Isipathana International Rugby Championship in Sri Lanka.

Frank Rohles who hails from Spain sings as well and produces an unique sound from his guitar with a distinguished style. A song writer/composer his work with the Queen Tribute band Innuendo is remarkable. The bassist of Faro is Peter Hahn is extraordinarily groovy while the drummer Daniel Flores hails from Chile and has worked with Sweden's progressive metal band Mind's Eye.

Faro with Chitral as lead vocalist has a lot of commercial appeal laced with 'the hardcore songwriting craft.'
