Sisters sing their tribute

Three sisters from the 'Winslow Six' singing their song about "Roshi" at the successful 'Sooriya Show' - the tribute to Gerald Wickremasooriya. In the picture are from left Nilani Perera, Manella Joseph and Iromi Pinto. Besides 'Roshi' the other song the sisters sang was 'Ran Monaru.' Both songs when released on 45 r.p.m. on the Sooriya label were arranged and played by Clarence Wijewardena.

At the show the sisters were backed by Rajiv and the Clan. The 'Winslow Six' at the outset of their career comprised five sisters and a brother and they performed songs that were written by Manella, besides the English covers.

They are thankful to Gerald Wickremasooriya for recognising their talent and singing on stage at the Sooriya Show brought back pleasant memories of their career. Pic: Herbert Perera.
