Beloved husband of Millicent, brother of Herbert, loving father of Kusum, Neeliya, Sriyani (Associated Battery Manufacturers, Ratmalana), Dayananda (NERD Centre Ekala), Lal (Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenapura), Malsara, Kumudini, Nirmala (Attorney­at­Law), father­in­law of Preethi Rajapakse, Jayantha Wimalasiri, Jayantha Wijetillake, Srimathie, Shantha, Upali Sudusinghe, loving Seeya of Thilini, Ganga, Chiranthi, Yamuna, Uditha, Shakya, Sahan, Dewruwan, Hemadri, Chamithri and Hasini. Cortege leaves   14, Galle Road, Mount Lavinia on Sunday the July 6th at 1.15 p.m. for Cremation at Galikssa Cemetery. 

WHITE ­ MR DERRINGTON   passed away peacefully on 25 June 2003. The funeral was already held on 26 June 2003, according to his wishes. He rests in peace and his spirit is with us all.

JAYATHILAKA ­ THEEKSHANA   Student St. Benedict’s College Colombo 13. Loving son of Anthony (Teacher St.Benedict’s College) and Jascintha (Sri Lanka Telecom), brother of Vigini (Good Shepherd Convent Kotahena) died under tragic circumstances. Cortege leaving residence 32/6, Kurukulawa, Ragama on Sunday 6th July at 4.00 p.m. for burial at the Kurukulawa Cemetery (R.C. Section). 

KANANKE ­ JEEVARATNE   of Hapugala, Galle, Retired Teacher of Richmond College & Vidyaloka Maha Vidyalaya. Beloved husband of Dr (Mrs) Kamala Kananke, loving father of Arusha, Jagath, Anila nd Rashmi, father­in­law of Karl Seneviratne, Manilka Perera and Ruwani Peiris, brother of Amararatne, Chandra, Lalitha, Dharmalatha and Meththa of Akuressa, grandfather of Chaika, Chavin, Shane, Dennis, Kevin, Devin and Rovin, expired. Cremation at Mt.Lavinia Cemetery at 5.00 p.m. Monday 7 July 2003. Cortege leaves at 4.00 p.m. 57/2, Dhammadara Mawatha, Ratmalana.

Relict of Donald (JDF), much loved mother of Gihan and Nilmini (Staff St Bridgets, Montessori), foster mother of Mary and Sunil, daughter of late Mr and Mrs R.A. Fernando of Laxapathiya, Moratuwa, daughter­in­law of late Mr and Mrs E.J. Perera, loving sister of Ina, Greta, Neil, Christie, Richelieu, Pete and of late Merle, Dick and Monica, sister­in­law of late Olive, Lloyd and of Therese, Marie, Tato, Rita, Nimal, Vernon, Violette, Wilfred, Lalitha, Daya, Lilamani and late Edwin and Nathan, expired. Cortege leaves residence at 2.45 p.m. on Sunday 6th July. Interment at St. Thomas’ Church Burial Ground, Pita Kotte. 264, Polhengoda Road, off Siebel Avenue, Kirullapone. 

PERERA ­ WINIFRED U.E. (nee Young).   At Rest with Jesus. Relict of E.I.P. Wilton Perera, beloved and most loving and precious mother of Dr Carlyle, Dr Travis and Christopher (Australia), Brian (Belgium) and Heloise (Colombo International School), mother­in­law of Megan, Hiranthi, Sushila and Martine, sister of Gerard and Irene (Australia), sister­in­law of Terrence and Elsie. Service at 3.15 p.m. thereafter cortege leaves A.F. Raymond’s Funeral Parlour on Monday 7th July for Burial at General Cemetery Kanatte (R.C. Section). 

WICKRAMASINGHE ­ WASANTHA KUMARA   Beloved husband of Nandini Kaldera, loving father of Samadhi (Galahitiyawa Central College ­ Year 7) and Sanuja, loving son of Mr & Mrs Wijesekera Wickramasinghe, brother of Sisira and Champa (Australia), dearest colleague of Cargills (Ceylon) Limited ­ (IT Dept), passed away under tragic circumstances. Cortege leaves residence (No.100/02, Bandaranayake Mw., Oruthota Road, Gampaha) at 4.00 p.m. on Monday 7th July 2003 for burial at General Cemetery, Moragoda.
