A. K. G. K. Sameera (Unichela) was judged the best boxer at the Layton Cup Boxing Meet held at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium yesterday.

K. A. A. K. Katugampola of Police was the best loser's award for his bout with Army's S. P. Jayatileka, Katugampola who had a healthy lead of 18 points to 8 in the first round in the Light Welter weight under 64 kg category, was knocked out in the third round as Jayatilleka emerged the winner. Sameera contesting in the Feather Weight under 57 weight category defeated Airman D. D. Jayasinghe.
