 Susara narthana

An off-the-beaten-track children's ballet was staged by the pupils of the Ritani Narthana Medura at the John de Silva theatre on Friday August 8.

The ballet entitled 'Susara Narthana' saw about 30 dancers, their ages ranging from six to twenty years, involved in this ballet which was a ballet of animals telling children the importance of being interested in and practising all the good things in life.

For example, like the thought, laziness is not good if you wish to be successful in life and one must apply oneself and be independent in whatever work you do. Dancer Ritani Ratnapala who runs the school performed traditional dancers in the first half of the show. The second half focused on the ballet with the children.
