Sri Lanka U. 19 squad picked

Observer-Bata Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year for 2003 Farveez Maharoof of Wesley College will captain the Sri Lanka under 19 team in the first three-day match against the visiting Pakistan under 19 team from August 15 to 17 on the NCC grounds, Maitlan, Place.

A squad of 14 players has been picked for the game - Farveez Maharoof (Wesley College) captain, Ganganath Ratnayake (Royal College) vice-captain, Upul Tharanga (Dharmasoka College), Damindu Kularatne (Ananda College), Nadeera Nawela (Kalutara Vidyalaya),Kaushal Silva (S. Thomas' College, Mount Lavinia), Gihan Silva (St. Peter's College), Suraj Mohamed (Rahula College, Matara), Dunil Abeydeera (St. Sebastian's College), Chinthaka Perera (President's College), Manoj Chanaka (Royal College, Panadura), Chandika Ranatunga (Karandeniya Central), Kosala Kulasekera (Vidyartha College) and Angelo Matthews (St. Joseph's College).
