Regional PAXcellence Awards SriLankan Airlines, which hopes to introduce SeaFlights shortly and, as reliable information suggests, an inaugural flight to Hyderabad in December, is also expanding its existing fleet of aircraft by getting two more A340s by November. As a prelude to the Global PAXcellence Awards, the Regional PAXcellence Awards will be held in Colombo in October, and the spirit is high at the SriLankan office as the chances of winning are good, the airline's newsletter Monara said in its September issue. The Global PAXcellence Awards will be presented for the first time this year. London, Dubai, Singapore, Mumbai and Belgium were adjudged winners at the Regional PAXcellence Awards in 2002/03. The awards were for the geographical regions of Europe, Middle East, Far East and South Asia, and for the Best Offline Station respectively. The criteria for the awards include revenue generated, average cabin factor, yield per seat, station expenditure versus budget, number of Business Class tickets sold and number of multi-sector journeys sold."Motivation is high and stronger than ever for winning next year," said Head of Commercial G.T. Jeyaseelan. (PJ) |
