Solo pianist Srini Fonseka who has enchanted many a guest playing at lobbies of several five star hotels such as the (former) Lanka Oberoi, Hilton, Trans Asia, Galadari and as well at the Tangerine out of Colombo, has just released her debut CD of tunes that were hits over the years.
Titled 'Greatest Hits of All Times' the CD is a compilation of twelve tracks like 'Autumn Leaves', 'Perfidia', 'Fascination', 'Let It Be Me', 'Smile' and 'Waves of the Danube', and features Kumar Molligoda accompanying her on sax. With an easy style of playing Srini was a student of music under Chitrani Balasooriya and later the Pestonjee School of Music, and is a holder of the Licentiate Diploma of the Trinity College of Music, London. An old girl of Visakha Vidyalaya, Srini during the sixties led an all girl band in Sri Lanka called 'Vibrator'. If you are looking for nostalgia then get yourself a CD to chill out and stress out. |
