Under 19 cricket pool picked

The following players have been selected to the under-19 pool and are requested to report to D. S. de Silva at 8.30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2003 at Moors SC grounds to participate in a practice match in coloured clothing.

14 players will be selected from this pool to represent Sri Lanka under-19 team to take part in the Videocon Asian u-19 tournament 2003 to be held in Pakistan from October 31 to November 6, 2003.

Besides Sri Lanka there are three other teams - Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. The under-19 squad for the World Cup scheduled to be held in Bangladesh next year would be selected from the provincial tournaments, schools under 19 and also from the team that represents Sri Lanka for the above series.
