Deepika - two titles and a runners-up berth

Deepika Rodrigo put Lake House in no uncertain manner on the Table Tennis map in Sri Lanka when she won two events and was runner-up in a third event at the National Table Tennis Championships held at S. Thomas' College Indoor Stadium at Mount Lavinia.

Deepika won the women's singles for the eighth time when she beat Saranga de Silva of Dharmasoka College, Ambalangoda 9-11, 11-8, 11-9, 11-8 and 11-4 in the final. Then won the open mixed doubles partnered by Indika Prasad (also Lake House) when they beat Thilina Piyadasa and Rifkha Kameel 11-6, 11-7, 11-5.

Then Deepika and veteran Namal Gunasekera had to be content with the runners-up title in the Open Women's Doubles when they were beaten by Saranga de Silva and Madushika Kottegoda 5-11, 11-9, 8-11, 11-5 and 16-14.

Veteran player Namal Gunasekera won the veteran women's singles title when she beat Ama Suraweera of Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation 12-10, 11-4 and 11-5.
