Indian, Lankan quality consultants tie up

by Hiran H. Senewiratne

Leading quality management company Nexus Business Solutions (Pvt) Ltd (NBSL) tied up with Nathan and Nathan Consultants (Pvt) Ltd (NNCPL) of India recently.

NBSL provides business consultancy services to leading business entities such as John Keells Holdings, Mast Holdings, Abans and Dialog GSM. "A tie-up or strategic alliance of this nature will enable other companies to obtain a better service," said Chairman, Industrial Development Board, Dr Bandula Perera.

He emphasised the importance of consultancy services for small and medium categories to improve their performance levels.

Dr Perera said the present trend is for companies to be led by young people, enabling them to be more innovative and proactive in business.

"Young minds should wake up to work as teams to generate new ideas to face a competitive world," Dr Perera said at the signing ceremony. He was deputising for Minister of Industries Rohitha Bogollagama. Human resources development is the most important factor which could gear young dynamic people to think out of the box, Dr Perera said. Young people of today have the ability to use new ideas to change the direction of the entity in a big way to enhance business.

Obtaining consultancy services from specialised organisations by young managers or entrepreneurs will enable companies to be more innovative and think differently against competitors, he added. NBSL provides a wide range of consultancy services in management, quality management, marketing and financial planning for both private and public sector organisations in Sri Lanka. The main objective of this tie-up is to bring new technology to the country, said NBSL CEO Prabath Samarasinghe.

NNCPL is the largest management consultancy in India with more than 2000 customers, 29 branches and over 100 consultants. It also operates in the Middle East, SAARC countries and the Far East.
