Hilton Fun Run Nov. 23 The Hilton Colombo Residence Fun Run 2003 is to take place on Sunday, 23rd November. The 6-kilometre run, starting and ending at Hilton Colombo Residence (formerly Hilton JAIC Tower) begins at 9 am. Entry is open to all residents and Sports Centre members at Hilton Colombo Residence and to Sports Club members at Hilton Colombo. There will be four categories for the Fun Run - men's open, women's open, men's over 45's and women's over 45's. Application forms can be collected from the respective Sports Centres at Hilton Colombo and Hilton Colombo Residence. Entries close at 6 pm on 18th November 2003. There will be super prizes for the top three in each category and all participants will receive a free cap and T-shirt. The route for the Fun Run is as follows: Starting from Hilton Colombo Residence through Union Place, Rifle Street, Justice Akbar Mawatha, Sir Macan Markar Mawatha, Galle Face Centre Road, Janadhipathi Mawatha, turn right through the World Trade Centre Road, Front of Colombo Hilton turn right at the Lake House roundabout through Sir Chittampalam A. Gardiner Mawatha, Kumara Ratnum Mawatha, Union Place and back to Hilton Colombo Residence. This event is sponsored by the Sunday Observer, Thomas Cook (Travelex Worldwide Money), Swift Care (Pvt) Ltd, Atlantic Rin (Pvt) Ltd, Aquafresh Naturally Purified Water, Ceylon Cold Stores, Mobitel, Nestle Lanka Ltd and Movenpick. |
