Charter House grabs Indian Oil contract

Charter House International (Pvt) Ltd, a company with diversified business interests, was recently awarded a contract by the Lanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC) for the supply of 320 units of Tokheim-Quantium, the "new generation" fuel dispensing pumps to be installed at its newly acquired filling stations throughout the country, a news release said.

Tokheim International is a leading manufacturer of fuel dispensing equipment and has been associated with Sri Lanka for over 40 years.

Its products for the petroleum industry include electronic fuel dispensing pumps, transfer pumps, flow monitoring equipment, fleet management systems and card-operated systems. Tokheim pumps are said to assure 100 per cent accuracy in the issue of fuel.

The quality of the equipment and after sales service support of Charter House had prompted LIOC to award this contract to the company. The Industrial Sales Unit of Charter House also markets other reputed industrial equipment such as Lectern power generators from the UK, Portotecnica industrial cleaning equipment from Italy, Istobal garage equipment from Spain, Max pallette trucks from Italy and Liquid controls PD meters from USA, the release said.

The company has a fully equipped workshop manned by trained technical and engineering personnel and a ready availability of spare parts. It also undertakes turnkey installations of all equipment.

Charter House also markets internationally accepted brands of hardware such as Grohe taps and fittings from Germany, Jacob Delafon sanitaryware from France, Inda bathroom accessories, mirrors, furniture and shower enclosure from Italy, Vingcard electronic card-operated locks for hotels from Norway, Mediclinics washroom equipment from Spain, Ceramica Magica wall and floor tiles from Italy and Talin Furniture from Italy. Most of these products have been used in Sri Lanka for years and are well-known and accepted by the construction industry.
