Confifi opens Ayurveda centre at German Luxury Resort The Confifi Group Hotels have entered into an agreement to manage and operate an Ayurveda promotional and treatment facility at five star luxury resort "Die Wutzschleife" in Germany. Stefan Furkan, Managing Director of the Confifi Group said, "We are very happy to announce our cooperation with Die Wutzschleife. For some time now, we've been looking for the right partner hotel in Germany to establish an Ayurveda facility that would help develop an ongoing relationship with our clients and also to further market Ayurveda holiday packages in Germany to Sri Lanka". A first for Sri Lanka's hospitality industry, this pioneering venture is another milestone for the Confifi Group. Furkan also said that the joint venture with "Die Wutzschleife" came about as a result of their largest tourist markets being Germany and German speaking countries Switzerland and Austria. He said that the Confifi Group saw this as an ideal opportunity to provide their clients with the option of following up treatments, which commenced whilst they were holidaying in Sri Lanka. It also gives potential German holidaymakers the opportunity to visit the facility at Die Wutzschleife and experience the Ayurveda treatments and philosophy prior to booking their holiday and more extensive treatment at the Confifi resorts in Sri Lanka. A Memorandum of Understanding between the Confifi Group Hotels and Die Wutzschleife was signed by Stefan Furkan and Monika Hauer, proprietor of Die Wutzschleife, in Germany recently. An entire wing of "Die Wutschleife" has been remodelled to fit the recently opened Ayurveda Centre with purpose-built treatment rooms providing comfort and the ideal atmosphere for specialized Ayurveda treatments. The Ayurveda facility is headed by a Sri Lankan qualified Ayurveda physician Dr. Aruna Bandara who is now resident in Germany. In addition to Dr. Bandara, there are 5 professionally qualified Ayurveda therapists in attendance to provide guests with specialized treatments including an introductory one-day of Ayurveda, three-day luxury Ayurveda and several special mid week Ayurveda packages. A 170-room luxury resort complex 'Die Wutschleife" is located in the Tri-City area, Nuremberg - Regensburg - Munich which is in the heart of Eastern Bavaria, a traditional vacation and resort area known as the "Bayerischer Wald" (meaning Bavarian Woods) well-known for its unique landscapes, mountains, lakes and forests. The resort is beautifully and spaciously laid out with facilities including an 18-hole golf course, golf academy, swimming park, sauna, wellness spa, and beauty therapy and conference & convention facilities. Tastefully designed, the resort's awe inspiring architecture comprises a glass enclosed four-storey foyer featuring a Mediterranean piazza and accommodation ranging from traditional to country house, lifestyle or self-contained apartments. Other facilities include sports and leisure activities, indoor and outdoor tennis stadiums and several bars and restaurants serving regional and Mediterranean cuisine. With this pioneering partnership the Confifi Group not only strengthens relations with their German partners and guests but also takes a first step towards taking Sri Lanka's age-old Ayurveda wellness treatments to the world. The Confifi Group one of Sri Lanka's leading companies owns and operates four hotel properties within close proximity to each other along the coastal belt of Beruwala. Their hotels are Confifi Beach, Club Palm Garden, Sri Lanka's largest beach resort Riverina and the five star spa resort Eden. In addition the Group also manages and operates a well-equipped Marina and Water Sports Centre and a travel & tour Company under the name Travelanka. |
