LTTE clueless as to whom to talk with by Ananth Palakidnar LTTE political wing leader S. P. Thamilselvan has stated that the doors of his organisation are open for negotiations and continuation of the peace process but claimed they were clueless as to whom they should negotiate or talk with. Thamilselvan made these comments at a press meeting in Kilinochchi on Friday. According to LTTE media spokesman Daya Master, Thamilselvan had reiterated LTTE's commitment towards the peace process and assured that they would not return to war unless it was forced on them. Thamilselvan had also said that the LTTE was carefully monitoring the political developments in the South and whatever the delay they would remain patient. "We do not want this country returning to a devastating war and destruction.Let us look forward to the beginning of a constructive peace process," Thamilselvan said. Meanwhile, a crucial meeting between the LTTE and the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) members will take place on Tuesday, December 9 at Kilinochchi. All fourteen TNA Parliamentarians and the other senior members of the parties represented in the TNA are expected to take part at the meeting where S. P. Thamilselvan and other key members of the LTTE's political wing are expected to discuss the current political situation in the south and future plans with regard to the peace process. |
