Chandani with C&C take wing again

Chandani with C&C move into another year of musical events with a trip abroad to play for their fans at a dinner dance.

New Year's Eve night for the band at the Taj Exotica, Bentota turned out to be a successful one for them with a lot of activities on that special night. "It was a fabulous evening which started off at 7 pm re-living an evening of Sri Lankan splendour with the age-old tradition of a Perahera.

There were elephants and dancers from the dancing troupe to escort in - house foreign guests. Comperes for the evening were Kumar de Silva and Tharindra and dancing went on till dawn with the revellers enjoying themselves immensely," says Chandani.

The band performs a wide repertoire of songs ranging from hits to calypso, oldies and the chart hits - with songs by ABAA, Bee Gees and Carpenters favourites with their fans. Chandani with C&C perform weekly at the Ceylon Continental Hotel and Taj Exotica Bentota, and includes Chaminda her husband on keyboards, Jagath Somasundara - percussion and Suddam Nanayakkara guitar.
