'Where the world meets Sigiriya' Appreciation of staff, the community around and religious observances with messages of thanks, to all those who have helped is the way "Elephant Corridor Hotel celebrates its 1st anniversary of operations. A service charge of Rs 15,000 in the month of February, rates of US$ 200 - US$ 1250, being considered among the best hotels in the world with an increasing occupancy, are some of the benchmarks reached by this newcomer with only 21 suites, though having swimming pools in every suite and 200 acres of unfenced naturescaped land. Conceptualised by Sanasuma Developments (Pvt) Ltd. Chairman Prasanna Jayewardene, and Managing Director, Susanne Filippin, "Elephant Corridor", is only the first of at least 10 more hotels planned by them. To enhance standards allround and work towards having a truly unique product which will have more than value for money to the customer at even higher rates in the future with a service charge of Rs. 50,000/= per staff member is the objective. The consultants, both foreign and local, are working towards this. "Where the world meets Sigiriya" is their theme. "We showcase the best of Sri Lanka for the travellers of the present and future, this truly a fabulous multifaceted country," confirms Susanne Filippin, the Managing Director, "we believe in Sri Lanka and its people". |
