Softlogic supplies PCs Softlogic was awarded the tender to supply install & commission nine high-end DELL enterprise class Servers for IT Training centres, under the Skills Development project of the Ministry of Tertiary Education & Higher Education. The training centres are located at Anuradhapura, Colombo and Kandy. These areas were selected based on the findings of a research study carried out by the Ministry. The Project's main objective is to improve the quality and relevance of skills training programs to build a high quality workforce to address the issues of skills mismatch and unemployment among rural and urban youth. The Project aims to restructure and reorient the vocational training (VT) system. The value of the project runs into millions of rupees, and is funded by the ADB. Softlogic also supplied, installed & commissioned over five hundred DELL PCs for Teacher training institutes islandwide under a World Bank project. The purpose of this project is to provide IT training to teachers to help provide IT knowledge/training to their students. The institutes are located in Jaffna, Trincomalee, Anuradhapura, Wariyapola, Galle, Buttala, Kandy & Colombo. One DELL Server & thirty DELL PCs were installed per training centre.
